Inserting a Pie Chart

The is typically used to view the relative proportions of a grouping of data (such as the percentage of sales that each region a company contributes to the company total). Data is displayed as wedges in a pie. Note that negative values are ignored.
A pie chart can be used to examine a grouping's proportions (such as the percentage of sales that each region a company contributes to the company total).
In the Author Ribbon, click on the "Add New Chart" button (under Pick Charts) and click Pie Chart.
If the Data Configuration form is not already showing, click the configuration button to open the Data Configuration window. If the Data Table shown is not the one you want, use the drop-down list to select the right one.
Select a field from the Field pulldown list. This field will serve as the basis of the Count Per Field in the view.
Optionally, you can select a measure from the Measure pulldown list (this value is the Y axis in the Pie Chart). If you want to display the pie chart in 3-dimensional mode, place a checkmark in the Display in 3D checkbox.
Click OK. The pie chart displays.
