Manage Data Sources

To display the Manage Data Sources dialog box, select Manage Data Sources from the Author Ribbon.

Data sources associated with the project are displayed in the Project Data Sources section of the dialog box.

  • If a checkmark appears next to the data source, it is actively associated with the project.

  • If a checkmark does not appear next to the data source, it is not being used and can be removed by clicking the Delete button.

To edit connection or metadata information for a data source, click the Modify button next to the data source.

To add a data source to a project, select a data source from the Available Data Sources section of the dialog box. Click the Add to Project button. The data source now appears in the Current Data Sources section of the dialog box.

To add a new data source, click the Create New... button to display the .
