Text Charts now can use Project Variables, by name, in formatted displays. Eady wizard setup. Hugely flexible formatting. Blends text and numbers. Numbers update based on user selections and filters. As an example:
Creating a New Variable:
Select the 'Customers' Demo Project, from the 'Demo Projects' list.
Inserting Variables into a Text Box:
Select the 'Best Customers' tab.
Select the 'Author' ribbon link.
The 'Text Box' Chart is added.
Select the 'Edit Text' button.
Select a Variable, from the 'Project Variables' list.
The Variable is added:
9. Select the 'OK' button.
10. The Configured 'Text Box' chart is added.
Utilizing Text Box formatting with Variables.
Select the 'Home' tab, to access the text formatting and alignment options.
2. Select the 'Insert' tab to insert Pages, Tables, Inline Pictures, Bookmarks, Hyperlinks and Symbols.
Select the 'Display Project Workshop' button.
Expand the 'Project' list.
Select the 'Variables' list header icon.
Select the 'Create' a new variable' link, from the 'Tasks' section.
Complete the applicable 'Variable Definition' fields and select 'OK'.
Note that the new Variable is added to the 'Variables' list.
Select the 'Add New Chart' button, from the 'Author' ribbon.
Select the 'Text Box' Chart option, from the 'Add Chart' list.
