Report Drill Back
Drill back to a web server to generate a report based on the current selection state of the project is now possible. Drill back reports are created in the Project Workshop, and they may be configured to appear on charts or the project toolbar. This feature requires that a web server exists that can process the report requests. See the User Guide for more details.
Text Filters Operate across Pages
Text Filters now operate the same as all other charts. If a Text Filter on the same table and field appears on multiple pages, the filter display will reflect changes made on any pages. Filters are updated to show the result of "undo" operations, and to correctly show the state after replaying actions in the Flight Recorder.
Flight Recorder Clear
The "clear" button is now available on the default Flight Recorder tool bar to allow the flight recorder to be cleared of actions.
Defects
These defects have been repaired:
Software will not install and run in Windows XP systems.
PDF export images could have black bars surrounding chart images.
A harmless exception was reported when a globe map was used.
Maps configured with outlines caused a harmless exception.
Bar weight labels could cause a project to hang if the chart size was very small.
Page names were missing from Flight Recorder actions.
Toggling state was not executed correctly in Flight Recorder replay.
ADVIZOR Analyst could crash if the key of a Table Copy was changed and the project was saved.
Date fields could not be tested for equality with the missing value.
ADVIZOR Server projects must be re-published to the Server before they can be used if they were created with a version of ADVIZOR before Release 6.1.
All projects must be be re-published to ADVIZOR Server for versions predating R6.1.
See the ADVIZOR Implementation Guide (referenced above) if you are using adv2advm.
Only install ADVIZOR Server to the default location on the "C" drive. Installing to another location will cause publishing to the server to not work.
Existing Navigation Panes must be migrated from HTML format to RTF. If you originally created the Navigation Panes in Microsoft Word (or another text editor that will also write RTF files), you can re-write the files and then go to the Page Properties dialog in ADVIZOR Analyst and load the new file. If you do not have the source files, you can create them like this:
Go to each Navigation Pane in ADVIZOR Analyst.
Right click in the Navigation Pane and select "Select All" from the popup menu. Right click again and select "Copy" from the popup menu. This copies the current pane contents to the system clipboard.
Open a text editor such as Microsoft Word and paste from the clipboard.
Save the pane contents to a file of type "RTF".
Go to the Page Properties in ADVIZOR Analyst for each page with Navigation Panes and load the new files.
If you are using Microsoft Word, make sure that the Paragraph format has 0 points of space before and after paragraphs; other specifications are not followed when the text is displayed in ADVIZOR Analyst.
Only insert images that are in standard image formats such as PNG, GIF, or JPEG. Other formats may not appear if the Navigation Pane is published to ADVIZOR Server.
