Managing Viewpoint

Most views allow you to manage your viewpoint: what part of the display you are looking at. Managing your viewpoint uses panning, zooming (magnifying), and possibly rotation.
Zoom bar: an extended scroll bar.
The Zoom Bar is a scroll bar that pans the display (scrolling == panning), with the addition of being able to zoom (magnify) as well. Panning operation is like any scroll bar: drag the central bar, click above or below to page, click the arrow to move a "line".
To zoom, drag the edge of the central area to zoom in or out.
The size of the center bar in the zoom bar represents how much of the overall view is currently visible. At the start, the entire chart is visible so the center bar is full sized. You must zoom initially to magnify the display so that the window shows only a subset of the chart.
If there are both X and Y axis zoom bars, there is a "Home" button at their intersection that returns to the original display.
Toolbar: Control 3D viewpoint with toolbar buttons.
Many 3D charts have toolbar buttons that let you perform viewpoint operations with the Left Mouse Button. When selected, these switch the Left Mouse Button from selecting to changing viewpoint. For example, see the Data Constellations .
Mouse: Pan and zoom with the mouse.
The mouse can be to interact directly with the chart to adjust your viewpoint. The mouse can be used to pan and zoom, and in 3D views it can be used to rotate the scene.

Viewpoint operations in 3D are the same as in 2D, with the addition of rotation. By default, blue cubes at the corners of the base plane are "rotate handles"; grab these to twist the display.

Warning! ADVIZOR charts can only respond to keyboard input that they receive; some containers grab keyboard input and do not pass it on! Internet Explorer may not pass keyboard input to the chart, even if it appears to have keyboard focus.
