# Use Color Models

Coloring data provides an additional dimension by which a user can analyze data and see trends. Pages are assigned color models that consist of table color assignments (**Color By**) and color links. [Watch a video about using and configuring Color Models in our tutorial page](https://www.advizorsolutions.com/Help/Central/7.0/).

A color assignment can be applied to a table, that table will then be colored according to the values on a determined field.

A color assignment can then be propagated from one table to another via color links. In a color link the values from a field in an original table are mapped onto the values on a destination table and color is propagated from one table to another.

Every project has a **Default Color Model** which cannot be deleted and is automatically assigned to pages when they are created. In the the [Project Workshop](https://help.advizorsolutions.com/v7.2+/using-advizor/author-ribbon/condition-data/project-workshop-view), color models can be added, modified, duplicated, or deleted.
