# Manage Data Sources

**To display the Manage Data Sources dialog box**, select **Manage Data Sources** from the Author Ribbon.

Data sources associated with the project are displayed in the Project Data Sources section of the dialog box.

* If a checkmark appears next to the data source, it is actively associated with the project. 
* If a checkmark does not appear next to the data source, it is not being used and can be removed by clicking the **Delete** button. 

To edit connection or metadata information for a data source, click the **Modify** button next to the data source.

**To add a data source to a project**, select a data source from the Available Data Sources section of the dialog box. Click the **Add to Project** button. The data source now appears in the Current Data Sources section of the dialog box.

To add a new data source, click the **Create New\...** button to display the [ADVIZOR Data Wizard](https://help.advizorsolutions.com/v7.2+/using-advizor/author-ribbon/load-data/load-new-data-using-the-data-wizard).
