# Use Color By

When you select a Color Field from the pulldown list on the Analyze ribbon, the range of values in that field are mapped to the specified [Color Scale](https://help.advizorsolutions.com/v7.2+/using-advizor/analyze-ribbon/set-coloring/use-color-scale), and a corresponding color is assigned to each row of the table based on the row's value for that field.
