# Inserting a Data Sheet

The [Data Sheet](https://help.advizorsolutions.com/v7.2+/charts-and-visual-discovery/charts-overview/data-sheet) provides a tabular view of selected fields in a table. It is typically used to examine the underlying raw data and for visually correlating across multiple measures (for example, does a discount increase as the transaction amount increases).

**Inserting a New Data Sheet**

1. 2. If the Data Configuration form is not already showing, click the configuration button ![](https://1916279106-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-legacy-files/o/assets%2F-Lf5YcsNySU3Og8Ms9rA%2F-Lf5ZCyAZIyYzxDLDEKS%2F-Lf5ZyNEX50eI7MoXvly%2FInitConfig.png?generation=1558109763542834\&alt=media) to open the Data Configuration window. If the Data Table shown is not the one you want, use the drop-down list to select the right one.
3. Select all fields to be included in the datasheet by clicking the checkboxes next to the field name(s). To select all fields, click the **Check All** button (or click **Uncheck All** to de-select all fields).
4. Click **OK.** The datasheet displays the data you selected in a columnar format.
